Abstract

The article raises the question of the general problems of modern culture and, in particular, examines the issue of national Russian architecture at the present stage. The historically difficult 20th century is imprinted in the architectural monuments of this period. Attempts to abandon continuity and tradition in architectural construction in the first decades of Soviet power did not bring their results. In the late Soviet period, finding something unique and independent was not even in the plans of the Soviet cultural ideology.  The return of the concept of culture to architectural art is exclusively relatedto modern church architecture and art.
