Abstract

The political activity of the Miloslavsky dynasty in the 1650s–1670s was conditioned by the rise of their family due to the marriage union of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich and Maria Ilyinichna Miloslavskaya. The special position near the sovereign’s throne opened up favorable circumstances for this family in the sphere of extensive external and internal church activities. The external creative side, in the church sphere, means their generous charity, including rich contributions to the Trinity-Sergius, Simonov and other monasteries. The inner side of the church activity of the Miloslavskys includes the construction of churches in their own patrimony, both in the metropolitan region and in the province. The article mainly provides a bibliographic analysis of the data of the Pereslavl-Moscow line of the Miloslavskys, descendants of Danila Terentyevich.
