В данной статье раскрывается содержание понятия «евгеника», излагаются основные этапы становления данного явления от истоков до современности. Особое внимание автор уделяет персоналиям, внесшим существенный вклад в развитие евгеники после Второй мировой войны. В статье также излагается отношение различных христианских деноминаций к евгенике. В конце статьи автор формулирует православный взгляд на проблематику вопроса, выделяя методы евгеники, которые не могут быть приняты Православной Церковью.
